TURKISH CYPRIOT NETWORK
Turkish Cypriot Network (TCN) is a non-profit making voluntary organisation founded in the United Kingdom on 16th December 1995.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
TCN aims and objectives are as follows:
(a) To promote the human rights and liberties of all Turkish Cypriots throughout the world;
(b) To promote the just cause of Turkish Cypriots with a view to achieving a peaceful solution to the Cyprus Conflict;
(c) To promote recognition of the TURKISH REPUBLIC OF NORTHERN CYPRUS;
(d) To promote awareness among Turkish Cypriot communities all over the world as to the necessity and urgency of the above three points.
ACTIVITIES
In order to accomplish the above aims TCN:
(a) organises and supports social, charitable and educational events;
(b) monitors international media and organises letter campaigns directed at any media institutions deemed to be misinformed about the Turkish Cypriot cause;
(c) organises/attends seminars and conferences on any issue concerning Turkish Cypriots;
(d) lobbies parliamentarians and local and national politicians;
(e) actively works towards establishing communication and collaboration between Turkish Cypriots and Turkish Cypriot associations and institutions that adhere to the same aims as TCN;
(f) Collaborates with any organisation and supports any cause if doing so is deemed to be beneficial in working towards achieving the aims of TCN and if and only if the activities of any such organisation is within the constraints of the laws of the host country;
(g) Publishes newsletters, books, booklets, leaflets and sells or distributes them free of charge;
(h) Carries out fund raising events to finance the activities of TCN.
